The wellhead on the right is the original discovery well that started the great oil rush in the Arabian peninsula in 1939. We had come all the way from Dhahran to see it. I had one of our hosts take the picture. I'm showing only one photo of Qatar because it's the only one I have of this small but imensely rich country.
