I had come as a consultant but the government put me up in this splendid resort hotel. It was very confortable but I did not find time to use the pool.
I wish I had taken more pictures for there were a lot of interesting scenes like these elegant ladies carrying their babies on their backs in a nice part of town.
Markets are allways interesting. Note the girl braiding another one's hair.
The chicken peddlar keeps his stock in trade captive under a net so you can be sure the meat is fresh.
Below left, an elegant shopper.
On the right, a solar cooker being promoted in an "alernative energies" exhibition.
Solar panels are exellent for providing cheap hot water.
This house was presented as a typical Haitian farmer's house. I would call it a very prosperous Haitian farmer's house.
I would have liked to show you more and better pictures but it was just a quick in and out visit and that's all I took.
