In 1966 I had business reasons to visit Cairo, Damascus and Ankara so I took vacation days and added Athens, Beirut, Tehran and Istanbul at my expense.

Here is a postcard picture of Herod's Theatre on the slope of the acropolis. It is much better than the one I took on the same spot in 2003. People make all the difference!
